What is the Jesus in You Newsletter?
I will publish an essay when prompted by Jesus encouraging people of faith in key Biblical themes from the perspective of an indwelling Christ.
Scripture Reveals Scripture
I look to the Bible to reveal itself to me. If I cannot understand passages by studying related passages, I leave it as an unknown mystery. I try not to make anything up just to fill space. We do not have to know everything; only what God reveals to us.
Jesus in You Newsletter will always be free to subscribers. A paid subscription will be offered soon to those wishing for a guided pathway to holiness and personal mentoring. My most active readers will be gifted a lifetime of free access to my paid subscription service.
Why Am I Doing This?
I have been imparted a gift from God for understanding and bringing Scripture alive.
This gift is to be shared with all people of every nation and ethnicity to encourage their immediate network of friends and family to take Scripture seriously and draw near to Yahweh.
Who is Jesus in You For?
If you are uncomfortable in your spiritual life and you feel your relationship with Jesus is unfulfilled, this is an early indication that Jesus is calling you closer to Him.
If you are tired of doing “church” stuff with no real growth in your knowledge of Scripture, then it is likely that Jesus is seeking your heart.
If you are seeking more profound spiritual answers to the cultural misalignment of your values, Jesus is asking you to dig deeper.
If you are looking for a more detailed understanding of how your spiritual and physical lives interrelate, then Jesus is knocking on the door.
If this is you, then Jesus in You is for you.

What is my Great Hope?
We are living in an age where we in the Western civilized world are not asked to sacrifice our lives for the advancement of the Gospel. From the first century after the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, faithful believers have defended their faith to the end.
We are now in an age in the West that Jesus described as “lukewarm” in the letter to the Church in Laodicea. We are the wealthiest generation since Christ, and we have become spiritually lazy.
We seek experience rather than substance.
We give Yahweh what we have leftover instead of what He requires of us, and that is ALL of us.
Whatever our modern churches are doing, they are failing to influence our culture. Our spirituality is fragmented and uncoordinated.
We must admit our failure, and as mature adults repent and believe the gospel. We must seek to focus on our personal spiritual growth and cease relying on the next great speaker or program to do it for us. What you focus on is what you expand. Focus on faith; you WILL expand it.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Gal 2:20, KJV)
My hope for you is that you live the remainder of your mortal life exercising the faith imparted to you by the Holy Spirit when you repented and believed the gospel. At that time, by faith, you crucified your former self and its selfish desires and became a “born again” bondservant of Jesus.
Biblical World View
God reveals His character to Moses in Exodus 34:6-7, where we see His loving kindness towards mankind, but also His call for justice for those that rebel.
Exodus 34:6-7 NAS95 Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; (7) who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."
Unfortunately in our modern form of lukewarm cultural Christianity, we focus on the former in a one-time commitment to Jesus, works-based programs around our denominational focus, and a poor effort to live the holy life; the only true way to escape from judgment.
We Are Saved by Grace Through Faith
Faith is the only currency of the Kingdom of Heaven. It is how we access eternal life with God through Jesus, whose blood paid the price of atonement for humanity's rebellion.
The atoning gift of the blood of Jesus is free to all humanity with no strings attached. You cannot earn it or work your way to heaven.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev 3:20, NKJV)
There is no door handle on the outside of the door of your heart. You must open to Jesus in answer to the call from God.
All Scripture quotes will be labeled as the translation and book/chapter/verse.
I will use Strong’s Concordance to explain original Hebrew/Greek words where appropriate.
My primary Bible Study tool is e-Sword on my iPhone, and cross-referencing will utilize Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (TSK).
